It is necessary to install vacuum degasser for removing the gas from drilling fluids since safety hazards and effects on some parts lifespan can be caused by gas entrained in drilling fluids from kick as drilling processes.

Solutions for Common Problems of KOSUN ZCQ Vacuum Degasser

Problem1:Low or zero vacuum degree

Cause:

1. No rotational circulation is formed due to shortage of water in vacuum pump.

2. Too huge gap exists between two ends of propeller

3. The temperature in pump is too high.

4. The linking points of bolts or discharge line are not well sealed.

5. Suction line or discharge line do not immerse in the drilling fluids.

Solution:

1.Inject water into pump and adjust the ball valve on the pipeline to pump.

2.Reduce the paper packing or replace propeller to adjust gap.

3.Pour more cold water inside.

4.Fasten the bolts or seal the leaking point of discharge line.

5.Immerse it into drilling fluids.

Problem2:Too much power of shaft

Cause:

1. There is too much water in the pump.

2. The propeller cannot automatically adjust the gap on the shaft sleeve.

Solution:

1.Readjust the ball valve

2.The propeller should be able to move freely after opening pump cover, taking out propeller, readjusting gap and reinstalling it.

Problem3:Unusual noise is generated or it is violently shaking after starting it

Cause:

1. Inner part of pump is damaged or invaded by solid particles.

2.Vacuum tank is invaded by foreign bodies.

Solution:

1.Open the cover and wash the pump, or replace it if it is damaged.

2.Open the square flange or bottom cap and remove them.
