Solutions to Resolve Shaker Screen Damages

Drilling mud shale screen is set on the bottom part of Oilfield Shale Shaker which plays a part in separating different diameter particles in drilling. But shaker screen is easily damaged spare parts and need changed timely to guarantee screening effect. Generally, there are common reasons causing shale shakers screen damage such as unqualified screen, excessive tension force, incorrect motor rotation direction and high viscosity of drilling mud.
Solutions to resolve problems above are described as following.
1/ Increase vibration amplitude of the shale shaker to rise the vibration difference of the drilling fluids.
2/ Spray the shaker screen and drilling cuttings with water to lower viscosity of drilling cuttings and peel the adhesiveness from shaker screen. But this solution is only applied in occasion that water is allowed.
3/ Make adjustment of angles of shale shakers screen in end of the sands discharge port to let cuttings discharge by gravity. But this solution may cause drilling fluids flow away.
4/ Adjust screen mesh or change flow rate of the single screen and make sure that the stopping points closely joint screen port and then discharge cuttings by the lubrication of drilling mud successfully.
Solutions to resolve incorrect motor rotation direction.
Discharge protection of shaker case and check eccentric block’s rotation rotates outwards or not.
1/ When the shale basket is working, press stop button of electric box of shale shaker, then the shale shaker is stopping gradually and then check if the rotation direction of cuttings is correct.
2/ Change any 2 pieces wires in the electric box, and then spry some sands on the screen, if the sands are rapidly discharged by the shakers screen, then it shows that the motor rotation is correct.
