On Aug, 11th 2014, a sudden blowout accident took place at a drilling site in Dingbian country of Shaanxi Province which is the branch drilling plant of Changqing Oil Field of CNPC. It’s reported that this is another blowout accident in this area resulting from maximum stress and caused soil pollution within 3 months.  

A blowout is the uncontrolled release of crude oil and/or natural gas from an oil well or gas well after pressure control systems have failed. An accidental spark during a blowout can lead to a catastrophic oil or gas fire which is likely to cause series life death and property damage. The most serious result is the disaster caused by combustible gas, because once the combustible gas is leaked continuously, the around areas will be in great danger and will face very difficult rescue situation.

Blowout accident not only causes great life and property loss for individual and country, but results in serious pollution to soil and around environment. Therefore, oil drilling plant safety is what every stuff should attach importance. For another point, safety equipment in oil drilling plant seems much more necessary to safe production.
